Volunteer Park Café & Pantry Branding
One of my most favorite branding projects! A formerly NYC based baker had moved to the west coast & needed new branding for a beloved Seattle based café. As I had previously done some illustration work for her NYC bakery she gave me a call.
I decided to take inspiration from the nearby park the café is named after but also wanted to emphasize the made-by-hand nature of the food in the café. For the logo I sketched several iterations of plants before pairing them with a hand lettered name within a frame. The flora and frame can be used as reoccurring design motifs (see gallery below) while the custom typeface appears on the menu—reflecting the charm of this reborn neighborhood favorite.

The original project included a logo, hand drawn typeface, and interior/exterior signage. It’s extended to include tote bags, sweatshirts and a bucket hat!
